# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It genuinely takes less time than ordering takeout, and tastes infinitely better.
  • Everything happens on one pan, which means minimal cleanup when you're already exhausted.
  • The kitchen smells so good that everyone wants to eat immediately, no negotiating required.
02 -
  • Don't skip the halfway turn on the sausages—I learned this the hard way when one side stayed pale and the other side nearly burned, and now I'm a believer in the 12-minute check.
  • If your peppers finish cooking before the sausages are fully browned, push the sausages to the side and increase the heat for the last few minutes; the vegetables won't mind.
03 -
  • Buy sausages from a butcher counter if you can, because they take the time to source quality meat and can tell you exactly what's in them.
  • If you want added richness, grate some Parmesan over the top right when it comes out of the oven and let it soften into the warm vegetables.
